From Rodney
I hate the idea of leaving the site undefended, but I don't see us surviving a head on battle with the next crew.
Brian, do we have any idea how long we have before the next shift change?
I say we do what we can to deter/delay them from getting the dragon meat:
- fill in the hole and try to topple the large stones onto it
- mutilate all of the bodies and line the end of the road with them (heads on spikes kinda stuff) with some cryptic message written in blood warning than all others would meet the same fate...
- anything else?
I'm not sure we're up to it, but if we really are meant to stop Throgg, it looks like our best options is to head straight there now and hope we can defeat him before he inevitably gets some of the dragon meat.
- We could try to scout the larger camp (where the replacement crews are coming from,) but I'm not sure that gains us much.
- If we could find a secure place to camp, we could use guerrilla tactics to keep disrupting the dig, but again it doesn't change much, just delays the inevitable.
Sooner or later, we've got to face him. The fallen heroes offered us their gifts. I'm assuming they'd want us to use them.
Brian, how long will it take to reach Throgg's camp?
If we go talk to Jenna how much time do we lose? Same for Haver's fen? or Kreg the Crazed's camp?
Based on whatever sabotage/derants we are a to create, how much time do we have before the dragon meat gets back to Throgg?
Just my thoughts. Open to any other options.

I think we need to face Throg head on sooner than later, but that being said, we should see if we can enlist some help, I like the idea of contacting Jenni, Kreg and the peat cutters camp to see what they have to offer. At the very least they could maybe delay the second team getting the Black Dragon remains while we check out Throg's situation. That's my 2 cents worth.

What can we do to eliminate the dragon flesh and bones? Do you think if we go to the other camp and get the explosives, we could blow it up and see if it destroys the flesh and bones? My concern right now with Throgg is that he will be much more powerful than what we have already faced, I do not know if we are ready yet for that meeting. I imagine there will be other crocogons there as well - handling three nearly killed us. I would like to try to destroy the flesh and bones of the dragon, or try to find a way to move them somehow.

You don’t know how many shifts are currently active, and you have no way of knowing for sure when the next one will arrive. However, with a bit of investigation, you estimate it’ll be a few hours before the next group shows up. What you do know is this: whatever they were digging for, they’ve found it—and that means they won’t give up easily. In fact, now that it's confirmed, it's likely they'll send more reinforcements soon.
If you head straight toward the poison lake, it's about a day and a half on foot. Other means of travel—like mounts or magic—could cut that time down.
Jenna: Adds about half a day.
Haver’s Fen: Detour adds roughly 2 full days.
Kreg the Crazed’s camp: About 1 day added.
Peat Cutters' camp: Roughly 1.5 days

Rallying help from the groups you've encountered would likely go over well—Throgg has upended their lives, and they'd probably jump at the chance to strike back.
I'm open to any ideas you have for moving or destroying Zizzarex’s remains. Just keep in mind—he was a massive creature, easily Huge, perhaps even Gargantuan. There’s a lot of him left, and much of it still lies buried. Whatever you decide, it won’t be a small task.
