Starting the summary for session 5 before I forget most of it. To get the ball rolling. Please add more that I missed because I missed a lot.
We met up with the folks at the Peat Cutter's Camp.
Harrisa (Halfling)
Told us about the ancient halfling civilization that was ruled by a black dragon. She was totally enthralled with the notion of bringing back the civilization that worshiped this black dragon. She is sponsored by someone in Weehaven. She would not tell us who it was and got defensive about it. She wants more info on the civilization and is willing to pay us for it. Shire Dynasty or River Dynasty dating back more than 600 years ago. She did say that some evil rebels took out her beloved evil black dragon. She has a box from that time period but needs more evidence to bring back to Weehaven to support her claims.
Ernest Dwarf
He gave us more info on the Goblins and the Throg the devourer. Said he can breathe fire but it is from drinking oil or something not from the black dragon abilities. He is probably looking for more of the black dragon so he can consume it and become more powerful. He doesn't like any goblin kin even the more peaceful Black Teeth goblins.
Ole Treeless (half orc)
He wants he dog, Stew that he lost by the rafts that cross the river. He said we would know him if he would obey the commands of sit, stay, fetch, high five and something else. He loved that dog.
Ria (Human)
She was the scout of the area and was looking for the stuff that the goblins we encountered took. She really wants more of the torches.
River Crossing
We ventured to the river crossing and encountered a crocogon, hobgoblin and three goblin archers. Shanks and Felix took out the goblins really quick and shortly there after Lyra, Daxxon and Aulrick took out the hobgoblin. Lyra had a great idea upon seeing that the crocogon had Stew's collar stuck in his teeth to yell sit but didn't act upon it. Aulrick took the intuitive and told the crocogon to "sit" and it obeyed like a little puppy. it seemed to end the fight. We decided to use the rafts to cross the river. Everything was going fine with Lyra, Shanks and Felix crossing the river when suddenly the rope broke. Draxxon tried to cast a spell to mend it while Aulrick held onto the rope attached to the raft. Lyra held onto the other side of the rope on the raft. Felix said to Shanks "Hey don't you have that fancy magic bar to rescue us?!?" With a clever move he activated the bar to freeze above his head and Felix grabbed on. Long story short it was a brilliant plan and we all made it across without a scratch. Maybe a little wet and almost drown but still a great plan.
Old Jenni's Hut
We decided to visit Jenni's Hut and met her. She seemed nice but Trix and Aulrick didn't seem to trust her. She wanted stories from each of us and we gave her some and she in turn gave us a few potions and salves.
She told us more about Throg and that he ate a dragon's egg and that made him smarter and gave him some of the abilities of a dragon. He is searching from more to eat and we are all in favor of stopping him. She did seem to know about each of our powers and she had more info about the Shire dynasty.
We spent the night there and then headed off to the shire of the black dragon to the north.
We are currently at the Black dragon Shrine and getting ready to fight 2 crocogons and lots of goblins.
